The short answer

There is no standard deadline across providers. Timing depends on the contract, preparation, review, acceptance and payment schedule.

Locate the actual trigger

Paid on delivery differs from paid after acceptance. Ask how long the provider may review, what counts as a valid rejection and whether partial delivery can trigger a milestone.

Check the fallback

Define what happens when payment is late or the review stalls. For revenue share, request the reporting period and the interval between receipts and remittance.

What to record before deciding

Keep the written scope, official provider source, unresolved questions and the person responsible for each check. Treat a marketing claim as a claim until it is reflected in the agreement. A directory entry does not approve the transaction or establish your rights to share the records.

Your next step

See where your company’s data could fit.

  • Begin with a company description, not an export
  • Review systems, retained history and exclusions
  • Compare the terms before sharing records
